As an early-harvest species, Turkey’s Eastern Mediterranean Region grows the highest amount of lemon in the world. Turkey is the leading country for the interdonato lemon production with the annual amount of 450.000 tons. Its fruit is large, long and cylindrical. The most prominent feature of the fruit is that the nipple is lying on its side. The peel is smooth, light green and bright. The flesh of the fruit which has small number of seeds has a greenish yellow color. It is not suitable for storage since it is an early species.
